406.ris — Octet Stream, 853 bytes
The long term transitions in diet and nutrition in China are analysed. Food consumption patterns for cereals, fruits, vegetables and meat are presented and discussed. Energy composition, physical activity, body composition, morbidity and mortality are evaluated. Studies show that China is transforming very rapidly from the pattern of the present receding famine stage to that of diet-related degenerative diseases.
