This article focuses on an assessment of the socioeconomic characteristics of Russian professionals and managers and the dynamics of the social status of professionals and managers. The study discusses four social strata of the businesspeople: those of the upper-middle level, middle-level managers, highly qualified professionals and professionals. Standard of living, well-being and health and wealth are considered. Respondents were also classified according to ownership or nonownership of real estate.
